- Visual artists look at the world around them. They internalize everything that they perceive, filter it, and transmit their perceptions onto paper, or pixel, or canvas, or wood, or anything they can find. Art is an attempt to document life; not necessarily the reality of life, but life as perceived through one set of eyes. Art is representation, art is biography, art is history, art is perception, art is lies, art is truth, art is creation. This is why I love art, and this is why I make art.
